Fr. Michael, I was looking forward to listening to your homily from the 28th, but not sure if you will podcast it or not. I didn't know it was Priesthood Sunday until I went to mass but that puts an interesting spin on my question. The question is around the reference to Melchiz'edek in the scripture from Hebrews. The first thought when I read it is that the verse was way out of place, that Jesus is compared to another person that lived in the time of the Old Testement. I just had a hard time making the correlation between that verse and the one right before it! Fr. Stillmunks made just a quick reference to it in his Homily, but after I did a bit of research on this it does seem somewhat controversial amongst Christians. What are your thoughts on that reference? If you do have your podcast that may just answer my questions... if not, I look forward to any thoughts you may have. Thank you.
