The Evil of Abortion

Today, it is considered to be a medical advancement that we can dismember a baby
in the womb without harming the mother. Huh? At the entrance of the prison cells in the Nazi Concentration Camp reads the quote: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."  On January 22, 1973, Satan inhabited the flowing robs of the United Supreme Court in a 7-to-2 majority vote. The Court deemed abortion as a fundamental right under the United States Constitution. Satan has verbally engineered the Holocaust of millions and millions of babies as a "right." According to the Guttmacher Institute, approximately 41.6 million abortions are performed each year around the world. Innocent babies are being exterminated daily under the guise of sexual "freedom" and women's "rights." Once a child has been conceived the only reasonable choice is to nurture the baby's life. (See Slide #4 Below: Reasons Women have Abortions)

Modern Day Calvary

Considering the demonic nature of abortion, each person must
prayerfully consider their efforts in the fight against Abortion. Since Abortion strikes against the most innocent
and vulnerable among us,  it must take priority in our service to Christ.
It's NOT enough to just pray! We must also act in the power of the Holy Spirit!

Spiritual Reflection

In Genesis 4:9, after Cain killed his brother Abel, God asks him, "Where is Abel your brother?” Cain said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?” No Cain, that's the wrong answer! We are our brothers and sisters keeper! To love is to be responsible.

If Abortion is the murder of the most innocent among us, then where are the followers of Jesus? Why don't more stand in prayerful protest at the Abortion mills? How can we sit in the comfort of our homes while babies are being slaughtered?
Why are we quiet? Can we pretend everything's OK? Many go to Church... many say they love Jesus... But, where are the believers when millions of babies are being slaughtered? When will we take a stand? What will it take for us to commit just one hour a week or even a month? How is it that only a few stand praying outside the abortion mills? These are serious questions that each person must honestly and prayerfully ask themselves. Are we afraid of confronting evil? Are we afraid of being intolerant? The tragedy of abortion is equivalent to the people in Hitler's days pretending that there are no concentration camps. Planned Parenthood has sterilized Hitler's approach of exterminating human life.

Jesus says, "So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. ‘Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, I advise you... ‘Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. ‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. ‘He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’” (Revelation 3:16)

The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. (John 12:25)

“They will make you outcasts...an hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering service to God. These things they will do because they have not known the Father or Me. But these things I have spoken to you, so that when their hour comes, you may remember that I told you of them. These things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you." (John 16:2)

“Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.      “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. “Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." (Matthew 5:10)

If we feel guilty maybe we should. We are all guilty of sin. We have all failed to live the Gospel. Concerning the issue of abortion, the sin is omission. We must give more priority to the most vulnerable and innocent. There is no excuse -- to make an excuse is to compromise the Gospel. Worldly souls make excuses, but Christians are not of the world. We live in the world and we need take responsibility. We need to turn to Christ. We need to repent and amend our lives by the power of the Holy Spirit! We have sinned and we need repentance. American, America... land of the free and home of the brave... Where are you? Christ came to save us not condemn us! Christ came to give life not destroy it.

PRAYER: Jesus please forgive me for not caring enough, for not standing up more zealously for my innocent brothers and sister in the womb. I've failed to be my brother and sisters keeper. I will strive, by the help of your Holy Spirit, to take up the cross and follow you. I will strive to fight more vigilantly against the evil of abortion. I will be a voice for those that can't speak. I will strive to educate and share with others about this tragedy. I will take my part in ending the demonic attack on sacredness of human life. Come Holy Spirit, give me the courage and power to live Christ crucified!
